Kiln Results 5/1
May 03, 2024So the globe split open. It didn't damage the kiln too much, just a little on one brick that I was able to sand down. It did also stick to the vase next to it. Going to have to figure out if I can save that one - it also ran at the bottom so refiring seems risky.
In good things I tried out running hot chowder for the first time and that came out awesome. I also tried doing some spoon rests in Obsidian with the birds that look amazing. The refire of the trees plate fixed the spots they had. Overall mostly good things.
I continue to make good progress on the blog. I've got the images fixed all the way back to the beginning of 2022 at this point. We're reaching the point where I was posting less frequently so I should be able to finish soon, especially now that I have a few weeks at home. I was basically on the road for the entire month of April. It was a lot and I am very happy to be back in my own bed every night.
Anyway, when I finish all the blog entries then I'll go through and update all the glaze pages. I'm still not entirely sure what the most efficient way will be to do those, finding all the images in the posts will be just as hard as finding them going through my pictures again. That is the next problem, the current is to fix all the blog pages and like I said I'm making headway.
