This shawl is mostly based off of a pattern from Petra Skorjank on Ravelry. I was working on this during a couple of shows so I went off the beat and path, but then used the pattern for the trim when I got to the end. I think it came out really beautiful. This was a collorway by Miss Babs for the 50th Anniversary of the Maryland Sheep and Wool. This is their Yearning yarn, but this particular colorway is no longer available. I used all 1200 yards.
This ended up being more of a hodge podge than I would have expected. I had a few things leftover from the last time I glazed and I have almost a second kiln load from what I finished glazing. When I loaded the kiln I ended up with a mixture of things.
Lots of jewelry pieces in here. I actually just had to buy more of everything for jewelry so as soon as that stuff comes from Amazon I can make more.
I have another plate in this load that has some specks in it. I think one of my shelves must be shedding and I'm going to have to investigate. In the last load it actually sanded off the spoon holder easily, this one since its a solid color that won't work so it will have to be refired.
I probably need a slightly brighter light and to take the pictures when it's dark instead of just rainy, but these are so cute!
Don't forget the Belle Aire July Market is tomorrow July 9th. I'll be there from 9-2.
Schedule for July - I will be at the Belle Aire Market this Sunday July 9th, on July 22nd I'll be at the Taneytown Art in the Park and July 29th at the Craft Fair in Chaumont, NY.
I got the new square cutters from De La Designs and immediately put them to use. The clay was a little too wet when I did it which is a learning for next time, but I still think they look great.
This one is using the biggest cutter.
This one is using the smallest cutter. I haven't used the middle cutter yet, but will soon.
