Brandywine Festival of the Arts is this Saturday and Sunday September 7th and 8th in Wilmington, DE. My space is R-68. I hope to see you there.
We were up at the cabin this week and one of the things I did on a very sunny and beautiful day was crochet tiny hats and scarves for snowmen. Which leads of course to a snowman fashion show. Which one is your favorite?
Why did the turkey cross the road? Because it has stuff to eat in it!
Yay for fall and snowmen. I ended up doing no traditional pumpkins. I thought I was going to do some orange ones, but when it came time to glaze I was in a different mood. A few of them, and some plates, came out lighter than I thought they would. I think my sand and surf is already really watered down so I didn't need to wipe back. I think I'm going to refire most of the stuff I used that on.
I'm not sure how I feel about the mushroom mugs. They are mushroom mugs, but they aren't as cool as I wanted them to be.
Sangria is a great glaze and I really love it on this new texture. I need to make more things with that texture. Lots of leaves in this kiln. The grape leaves came out awesome as did the maples.
