Triangle Infinity Scarf

September 20, 2024

I saw a picture of a triangle scrave that was actually attached and had to make one. Take the pattern for any triangle scarf and when it gets to be about arms length - start crocheting in the round on the long side. Taper in the neck a bit. Voila!

I can't wait for it to be cool enough to wear this.

This is a little off brand for me, but I'm feeling flowery. Painting Flowers

Rainbow Tree of Life Poncho

September 16, 2024

This poncho was a labor of love. There was so much frogging that happened making this. It came out amazing though. Unfortunately no pattern because it was such a labor of love. I've had a few people ask me about buying it. I can't let it go right now though.

The yarn is from A Hundred Ravens and its 2 Large Yaksha Gradient skeins in Famous Rainbows of the 80s. The the trees were some random brown I had in my stash of leftovers.

Monster Mugs

Remember the hexagons from my last post? As I was looking at them I started seeing Frankenstein's block head. I think I love this one even more than the ghost! Monster Mugs

Ghost Mugs

September 11, 2024

I've wanted to make a ghost mug for a while. I kept circling on how I could do it and then it occurred to me that I have a couple of extruder dies that might work. I ended up using the one that looks kind of like a pasta noodle. I still have a little more refinement to do, but I think it's so cute. I did this in laguna 60 and my plan is to glaze these with Amaco Snow which will have a nice sparkly effect with the specks from the clay.

I started with a bunch of extruded pieces that were all roughly the same height.

then I cut out bottoms to match them.

I had also extruded some hexagons...more on these later this week.

September 09, 2024

Last week in NY I made a few ghosts and I'm happy to say they all made it home. Ghosts!
